History is the only guidebook civilization has, but who's the publisher? In the last six months WikiLeaks has faced assassinations in Kenya, ambushes in Europe, raids in Germany, state censorship in China and the UK, and criminal investigations in South Africa and Australia, all for revealing the inner workings of state and corporate power. President Harry Truman had a sign above his desk that said "There's nothing new in the world except history you do not know yet.". Only a few years later, on the other side of the Atlantic, George Orwell wrote "He who controls the present controls the past and he who controls the past controls the future". Between these insights into the importance of revealing and protecting history, lays WikiLeaks. We will explore some of the stories behind some our most interesting leaks, present the Most Wanted Leaks of 2009, and discuss how you can help reveal them. We will look at the brewing climate of censorship across the world and why WikiLeaks has become an anti-censorship vanguard. We will examine some of the surprising economic properties of leaks, why leaks are often behind choosable historical pivots, and what this analysis means for the future of WikiLeaks. Finally, we'll explore how the media creates history and how the foundations of a new civilization lay in reclaiming our true history. So, think you're smart? Upgrade your opponent. Come with us as we take on every corrupt government and corporation in the world--and win.
